Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega draws highest TRP ratings

New Delhi: Rahul Mahajan’s wedding in the grand finale of the series ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega’ drew the season’s highest TRPs for a reality show.

The programme drew the season’s highest ratings on reality shows with a TRP of 5.6., said a press release issued by the channel.

The TAM data reveals that the wedding was the most watched finale of a reality show since ‘Rakhi Ka Swayyamvar’ on the same channel, Imagine TV, overtaking other big reality shows like Big Boss and Fear Factor, the release said.

Mahajan’s hunt for a perfect bride on TV culminated in a grand way when he wed Bengali girl Dimpy Ganguly in true Bollywood style.

Mahajan, who has had a troubled past with drug abuse charges and an acrimonious marriage and divorce from childhood friend Shweta Singh, hopes that it is a “happily ever after” for him, this time.
