2G Spectrum issue derails Question Hour in Parliament

New Delhi: Both Houses of Parliament were today adjourned till noon as members cutting across party lines trooped to the well, intensifying their demand for a JPC probe into alleged scam in 2G spectrum allocation, and raising various other issues.

Soon after the House Marshals announced the entry of Speaker Meira Kumar in the Lok Sabha, BJP members stormed the well raising slogans ‘We want JPC’. They were joined by Shiv Sena and AIADMK members. Samajwadi Party and BJD MPs were also seen in the well raising slogans in support of a Joint Parliamentary Committee.

As the Speaker took her seat, Congress members were seen on their feet waving copies of newspapers carrying reports of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s alleged involvement in allocation of land to his sons.
