Cong tells Jagan: Don’t go ahead with yatra

New Delhi: Apprehending trouble, Congress high command has bluntly told party MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy not to embark on his ‘Odharpu’ yatra in Telangana region, which witnessed large-scale protests over the statehood issue.

“The high command does not approve of it (the proposed yatra in Telangana region). It is not desirable to go there at present,” Law Minister and incharge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh Veerappa Moily said.

He told PTI that Jaganmohan, son of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, has been told not to go ahead with the yatra, scheduled to begin tomorrow.

“I have told him not to go ahead with the yatra,” Moily said.
