New Delhi: There has been no end to scandals hitting the Mayawati Government in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati’s MLA Shahnawaz Rana is now in the line of fire for his alleged involvement in a rape case of two women.
Facing Mayawati’s wrath, Shahnawaz Rana, MLA from Bijnaur in western Uttar Pradesh has been suspended from the primary membership of the BSP and has been barred from attending any party function.
Rana himself has maintained innocence claiming that his security guards were responsible for the crime.
Meanwhile, hours after Rana was suspended, his two brothers Saddam and Shazeb Rana were arrested. Mayawati is clearly feeling rattled with all the adverse publicity in the CMO murder case.
