Twin sisters share top rank in medicine course

Malappuram (Kerala): Demonstrating their togetherness even in studies, a pair of twin sisters here has shared the top rank in the graduate course in Ayurvedic medicine conducted by Calicut University.

The position was bagged by Fasna and Hasna, who completed their Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine (BAMS) course from PSV Ayurveda Medical College run by Kottakkal Aryavaidya Sala, one of the world’s most well-known institutions of the ancient Indian wellness system.

The twins, who shared the same bench in the same classroom, scored 1,308 marks out of a total of 1,850.

Hailing from a Muslim family here, the distinction achieved by the teenage sisters is seen as all the more special by her teachers since studies in Ayurveda require a sound knowledge of Sanskrit.

“We consider it the rarest of rare honour for our college.
