Will “Jai Ho” be One Millionth English word ?

“Jai Ho” is competing for the millionth English word with 73 other entries including “Noob” , “Octomom”, “defriend” . Other Indian entries include Cuddies which refers to ladies underwear or panties and the word “Slumdog” taken from the movie “Slumdog millionare” . Other interesting words which are competing are “Obamamania” and “Mobama” which refers to US First lady Michelle Obama.

The English language will cross the one million word threshold on June 10, 2009
